• explain the relevance of data science to neuroscience

• distinguish between front-end and back-end aspects of data science

• explain the value of teamwork in doing data science

• explain the value of scientific programming languages and their advantages over manual data analysis workflows

• demonstrate awareness of a range of languages used in data science, especially neuroscience, and explain considerations for choosing a language for a particular task
